Inclusion Criteria
Patients aged 18-60 years, requiring intubation or re-intubation and mechanical ventilation in the ICU with an expected ventilation duration of more than 48 h and non-pregnant patients will be eligible.
Exclusion Criteria
Patients who had a previous tracheal injury
Age <18 yrs and > 60 yrs
Expected ventilation duration of less than 48 h
Pregnant patient
Patient admitted after cardiac arrest
Patient intubated other than Suction Above the Cuff Endotracheal Tube (SACETT)
