Confirmed HS diagnosis
- Over 18 years old
The following patients are excluded from the study:
- active tumour disease
- metastatic tumour disease
- Advanced liver disease
- liver insufficiency
- liver cirrhosis
- renal insufficiency
- Known eating disorder (e.g. binge eating disorder, bulimia nervosa, anorexia nervosa)
- Pregnancy or breastfeeding
- Patients under 18 years of age
- Patients without informed consent
- Known acute or chronic infectious diseases
- insufficient language skills (German) to complete the questionnaires
- mental retardation

Name Time Method - Are specific dietary components associated with HS disease severity (Hurley classification, IHS4, SAHS, mHSS) ?<br>- Is the frequency of food items associated with HS severity (Hurley classification, IHS4, SAHS, mHSS) ?<br>- Is the frequency of HS relapses in the last 4 weeks dependent on dietary components?<br>- Is the frequency of HS relapses in the last 4 weeks dependent on diet quality?<br>- Is the quality of life (DLQI) dependent on diet quality or dietary components?<br>- Can the elimination or modification of certain dietary components reduce HS activity?<br>- What is the relationship between BMI and diet quality in HS?<br>- Does poor diet quality promote the development of secondary diseases (obesity, CHD, insulin resistance, diabetes mellitus)?<br>- Do AI/HS patients have an unhealthier diet than non-HS patients?
