Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •Subjects aged \>\=40 years
- •Low back pain (defined as pain between the lower rib cage and gluteal folds)
- •Pain \>\=3 on a 10\-cm visual analog scale
Exclusion Criteria
- •History of any neurological, psychological and psychiatric disorders
- •Recognizable, known specific spinal pathology, for a period of at least twelve weeks Alcoholism and other drug abuse
- •An increase of pain of 3 points with a result of \>8/10 on the Numeric Pain Rating Scale (NPRS) in the last 48 hours
- •Rehabilitation/exercise therapy program in the past 6 months
- •Uncontrolled arrhythmias
- •History of myocardial infarction
- •Active angina
- •Uncontrolled hypertension/diabetes
- •Any systemic/respiratory illness that prevents subjects from participation in the study
