Inclusion Criteria
Rome-III diagnostic criteria prescribed for IBS
Recurrent abdominal pain or discomfort at least 3 days per month in the last 3 months associated with changes in frequency of stool.
Onset associated with changes in appearance (form) of stool.
Improvement with defecation.
Exclusion Criteria
Any gross Gastointestinal pathology
Suffering from any chronic neuroendocrine or metabolic disorders.

- Primary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method A good number of patients reported improvement in recurrent abdominal pain, clear motion with no bowel movement including changes in stool form gradually after treatment with test formulation. Further, improvement was also noticed in depression score, sleep pattern of IBS patients. The chronic constipation also improved and patients reported feeling of well being and elevated mood and better mental performance.Timepoint: Gradual improvement (1 month to 6 months)
