Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •1\.Age above 18yrs.
- •2\.Patients who have consented for the procedure.
- •3\.Patients with CKD more than or equal to Stage 3 posted for elective surgical procedures.
- •4\.Patients with normal renal function \>60ml/min/1\.73m2 posted for elective surgical procedures.
Exclusion Criteria
- •1\)Patient who refuse to participate or consent for the study.
- •2\)Emergency procedures
- •3\)Pregnancy
- •4\)Paediatric age group
- •5\)Preexisting known oesophageal/gastric anatomical abnormalities/post\-op status.
- •6\)Patients coming to the preoperative unit with a Ryleâ??s tube.
- •7\)Patients taking domperidone, metoclopramide or narcotics within the specified half life of the drug and coming for surgery
