Inclusion Criteria
1.Subjects of either gender aged between 18-75 years undergoing surgery.
2. Willingness to give informed consent and to be available for follow-up.
Exclusion Criteria
1. Patients with uncontrolled diabetes mellitus.
2. Immunocompromised patients.
3. Patients with prior symptomatic infection at distal site before the surgery.
4. Pregnancy and lactating women.
5. Patients already on antimicrobial therapy.
6. Smokers.
