Primary Outcome Measures
NameTimeMethod
The goal of the present study is to assess prosocial and aggressive behavior in response to either empathic or aggressive verbal feedback among healthy men and women. The paradigm is specifically designed to more closely resemble real world situation with the use of avatars for each player within a computer game and direct (fictitious) verbal interactions.
Secondary Outcome Measures
NameTimeMethod
We aim to identify and characterize conditions, under which individuals will prioritize an own monetary gain over a shared monetary gain with another player. We will assess several factors that might contribute to this decision, such as provocative or empathic verbal feedback, the height of the monetary gain and personality traits such as sensitivity to reward and punishment, selfishness, aggressive- and impulsiveness.
