Patients have a definite diagnosis of epilepsy.
Epileptic patients 18-50 years old referred to the epilepsy department of Namazi Hospital in Shiraz.
Have at least one seizure attack (including all types of seizures, including general, focal, and seizures with unknown causes) in the last trimester.
history of at least 2 years of epilepsy (to determine whether epilepsy is not resistant to treatment)
Patients selected should be treated with at least one anticonvulsant.
Have the desire and ability to learn (read and write literacy) self-management program and its application.
Having the desire and satisfaction to participate in the intervention.
Patients who have undergone vagal nerve stimulation surgery or callosotomy and whose seizures have been controlled by surgery.
Patients with epilepsy resistant to treatment.
Patients whose seizures are controlled and do not take medication.
Having a specific physical illness (heart disease, gastrointestinal disease, respiratory illness, etc.) and mental illness (depression, bipolar disorder, psychosis, panic disorder, etc.) before or during an acute illness while participating in the intervention That will affect the outcome of the study by not cooperating with the patient.
Lack of desire and satisfaction to continue the intervention.
Patients who have participated in the self-management training program for the past 6 months.

- Primary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method Increased pharmacological adherence of epilepsy patients. Timepoint: Before the intervention - two months after the intervention. Method of measurement: Medication adherence questionnaire Morisky (Score less than 6; low compliance level, score 6 to less than 8; moderate compliance level and score 8; high compliance level).
