Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • 1 Patients with grade 2\-3 knee osteoarthritis diagnosed by a rehabilitation physician or orthopedic surgeon using the American College of Rheumatology criteria and radiographic criteria Kellgren\-Lawrence grade
  • 2 During the past week the knee that hurts the most is experiencing pain at a visual analog scale rating of 4 or higher
  • 3 If both sides are hurting the side with the most pain will be chosen while the other side will be treated with standard physical therapy methods
  • 4 When pain levels are equal on both sides the right side will be chosen while the other side is treated with standard physical therapy methods.

Exclusion Criteria

  • 1 Have had the following treatments within the past 3 months
  • 1\.1 Perform any type of surgery on the knee on the side that will be tested.
  • 1\.2 Injecting drugs into the knee joint
  • 1\.3 There is a severe injury to the knee on the side that will be tested.
  • 2 have a knee infection or other chronic joint disease such as rheumatoid arthritis
  • 3 has a serious illness that may affect the experiment
  • 4\. Have a history of neurological disease or mental health condition that may affect the experiment.
