- •* rotator cuff tear patient scheduled to undergo arthroscopic rotator cuff repair
- •* American society of anesthesiologists physical status I/II/III
排除标准
- •* patient who refuse to participate in this study
- •* patient with moderate/severe pulmonary disease
- •* patient with uncontrolled medical/psychological disease
- •* patient with trauma history on ipsilateral side
- •* patient with cervical disease, neuropathy, or myelopathy
- •* patient who requires additional open surgery
- •* patient who are contraindicated to NSAIDs, opioid, or ropivacaine
- •* female who is pregnant or lactating
- •* patient who are considered inappropriate by medical staffs due to other reasons

Comparison of two local anaesthetic techniques for the post-operative management of acute pain following major abdominal surgery.This study will involve the continuous infusion of local anaesthetic, into either the rectus sheath space, or the preperitoneal space, in order to achieve optimal analgesia for patients who have undergone a laparotomy.
