Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • •INPATIENTS WITH ACUTE ISCHEMIC STROKE DUE TO CAROTID ARTERY STENOSIS
  • •INPATIENT OR OUTPATIENTS WITH TIA WITH SYMPTOMATIC CAROTID ARTERY STENSOSIS
  • •INFARCTION CONFIRMED BY NEUROIMAGING IN TERRITORY OF INTERNAL CAROTID ARTERY
  • •SYMPTOMATIC CAROTID STENOSIS \>50% DETECTED BY EITHER CT ANGIOGRAPHY MR ANGIOGRAPHY US CV DOPLLER ACCORDING TO NASCET CRITERIA

Exclusion Criteria

  • •AGE \<18 YEARS
  • •PRIMARY INTRACEREBRAL HEMORHAGE
  • •DEMYELINATION
  • •CHRONIC KIDNEY DISEASE
  • •CHRONIC LIVER DISEASE
  • •SYSTEMIC MALIGNANCY
  • •TOAST CARDIO EMBOLIC STROKE OF OTHER DETERMINED ETIOLOGY SMALL VESSEL OCCLUSIO
