Eligible participants will include pupils:
1. In Years 7-8 (aged 11-13 years old) at the time of the first baseline assessment
2. Whose primary carer has consented for them to participate
Schools will be eligible for inclusion:
If 30% or more students meet the eligibility criteria for free school meals, which ensures the sample is socioeconomically diverse
Pupils are considered ineligible if:
1. They have high rates of school absence
2. Are identified by the school as being inappropriate for the group intervention due to a high risk of harm to themselves or others

Psychopathology measured using the Total Difficulties Score of the Strengths and Difficulties Questionnaire at baseline, post-intervention follow-up and at a 12-month follow-up<br>2. Mental wellbeing measured using the summary score of the Warwick and Edinburgh Mental Wellbeing Scale (WEMWBS) at baseline, post-intervention follow-up and at a 12-month follow-up
