All consecutive patients of age between 12 and 70
years, with two or more comparable patches of stable vitiligo,(stable for 6 months) attending
Dermatology OPD in a tertiary care hospital
1. Consent Denial and un-cooperative patients
2. Patients outside age criteria
3. Contraindication to surgical procedure
4. History of hypertrophic scarring and â?? or keloid
5. Vitiligo patches over palms, soles, and mucosae
6. Allergic â?? phototoxic reaction (lidocaine, tegaderm, suture strips and
sunlight)
7. Use of medications known to cause photosensitivity and â?? or phototoxicity,
other photosensitive and photoaggravated skin disorders that would impair
evaluation of repigmentation.
8. Personal or family history of skin cancer or photosensitivity and â?? or photo
toxicity disorders
9. Pregnancy
