Inclusion Criteria
The patient must need mechanical ventilation
The patient must have respiratory insufficiency
The patient must have severe and large chest injuries
The patient should have plenty of airway discharge and need suction
Exclusion Criteria
Cardiac arrest before and during endotracheal intubation
Increased ICP during endotracheal intubation
Injury to the patient's mouth, jaw, and airway
Spasm of the patient's vocal cords
Failure to intubate the patient after two attempts
