•Subjects residing in Belgaum between 35 to 55 years of age.
•Moderate Periodontitis with Probing depth of 4-6mm and Clinical attachment level of 2-4 mm.
•Willing to provide informed consent and to ensure compliance throughout the study
•Not used medicated toothpaste/antibacterial mouthwashes/antibiotics or any anti-inflammatory drug for the last 3 months.
•No history of drug allergy to chlorhexidine
•Subjects suffering from systemic diseases.
•Subjects undergoing orthodontic treatment.
•Subjects with periapical infection
•Habit of tobacco chewing and smoking
•Pregnancy and lactation
