Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • •1\.Patients presenting with inflammatory conditions of the temporomandibular joint with following symptoms will be included in the study:
  • •a) Limited mouth opening
  • •b) Pain in the temporomandibular joint on jaw movements
  • •c) Temporomandibular joint sounds
  • •2\.Patient who did not respond to the conservative treatment

Exclusion Criteria

  • •1\.Patients unwilling to participate in the study
  • •2\.Patients presenting with pain and limited mouth opening due to causes other than that originating from temporomandibular joint will be excluded from the study.
  • •3\.Patients presenting with non\-inflammatory conditions of the temporomandibular joint (fracture, joint ankylosis, tumors, hypoplasia, hyperplasia) will also be excluded from the study
  • •4\.Presence of any systemic disease that could affect the TMJ region
  • •5\.Presence of a malignant disease in the head and neck region
  • •6\.systemic, viral, fungal or bacterial infections
  • •7\.addiction to alcohol or drugs \& Pregnant ladies
