Inclusion Criteria

Elderly aged 60 and above without physical impairments and with limitations in mobility (use of a walker, wheelchair, walking stick or similar). Written informed consent and participant information sheet.

Exclusion Criteria

Elderly aged 59 or younger, severe cognitive impairment MMSE <24, presence of legal care taker, recent surgery on the dominant hand which will make the execution of gestures with the remote not possible or just under severe pain. Tremor or arthrosis in the dominant Hand, elderly with severe limitations of vision, so that the light of the remote cannot be recognised, elderly with red-green impairment (dyschromatopsia)

The following validated questionnaires will be used<br>-Mini Mental State Examination (MMSE) (Fol-stein et al., 1975)<br>- Questionnaire technology commitment (Neyer et al., 2012)<br>- system usability scale - SUS (Bangor et al., 2008)

It will be investigated, to what extent external factors influence the gesture recognition by login data, video recordings of the executed gestures and an additional self developed protocol whereby it will be recorded if an executed gesture is correctly being recognized by the detector and transformed into the right action (operation targeted device). Thereby an action can be visualized by green (working)/red (not working) lights on the device.
