Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •1\. Suspected infection with temperature \>38 deg C or \<36 deg c
- •2\. Systemic inflammatory response syndrome with Tachycardia (temperature corrected heart rate more than normal for age ) or Tachypnea, prolonged CRT , increased core to peripheral temperature difference.
- •3\. Signs of shock with lowered Systolic blood pressure \<5th percentile for age, sex and height and a need to administer fluid bolus after prior assessment of vitals , urine output.
- •4\. Parents sign written informed consent .
Exclusion Criteria
- •1\.Any coexisting Myocarditis with heart failure.
- •2\. Prior existence of congenital/acquired heart disease .
- •3\. Other causes of shock like anaphylaxis, hypovolemia, pre existing adrenal insufficiency, Dengue Shock Syndrome.
- •4\. Ascites, dilated bowel loops .
- •5\. Any concomitant exacerbation of reactive airway disease or asthma.
- •6\. Any known case of Interstitial lung disease.
- •7\. Any known case of end stage renal disease .
