入排标准
入选标准
- •1.Adult patients (18 â?? 65 years)
- •2.Severe burns involving 40 â?? 80% TBSA (excluding 1st degree burn area)
- •3.Admitted to ICU within 24 hours of injury
排除标准
- •1.Refusal of consent
- •2.Extremes of body mass index (BMI less than 17 or more than 35)
- •3.Extremes of body stature (height less than 150 cm or more than 190 cm)
- •4.Patients who have received more than 6 hours of formal fluid resuscitation prior to ICU admission
- •5.Hemodynamically unstable patients on moderate to high dose vasopressor support (noradrenaline requirement more than 0.1 mcg/kg/min or equivalent)
- •6.Pregnancy
- •7.Extensive deep burns involving anterior torso limiting scope for repeated POCUS assessment due to difficulty in obtaining an ultrasound window
- •8.Known cardiac disease
- •9.Chronic kidney disease on haemodialysis
- •10.Chronic decompensated liver disease (Child-Pugh C)
- •11.Severe ARDS at presentation
- •12.Patients not expected to survive beyond 24 hours
- •13.Patients with associated major trauma
- •14.Do not resuscitate orders
