Inclusion Criteria

  • •1\. Infants admitted in the pediatric surgery department with a diagnosis of infantile hypertrophic pyloric stenosis
  • •2\. The parents/legal guardian gives consent for inclusion in the study

Exclusion Criteria

  • •1\. Patient in renal failure
  • •2\. Patient in sepsis
  • •3\. Withdraws consent for inclusion in the study
  • •4\. A different diagnosis at surgery
  • •5\. Plan of surgery changed pre\-operatively or intra\-operatively
  • •6\. Other co\-morbidity
