1. Suspected infection with temperature >38 deg C or <36 deg c
2. Systemic inflammatory response syndrome with Tachycardia (temperature corrected heart rate more than normal for age ) or Tachypnea, prolonged CRT , increased core to peripheral temperature difference.
3. Signs of shock with lowered Systolic blood pressure <5th percentile for age, sex and height and a need to administer fluid bolus after prior assessment of vitals , urine output.
4. Parents sign written informed consent .
1.Any coexisting Myocarditis with heart failure.
2. Prior existence of congenital/acquired heart disease .
3. Other causes of shock like anaphylaxis, hypovolemia, pre existing adrenal insufficiency, Dengue Shock Syndrome.
4. Ascites, dilated bowel loops .
5. Any concomitant exacerbation of reactive airway disease or asthma.
6. Any known case of Interstitial lung disease.
7. Any known case of end stage renal disease .
