Inclusion Criteria

  • scheduled for elective coronary surgery.

Exclusion Criteria

  • \- older than 80 yr of age;
  • \- female sex;
  • \- active neurological disease;
  • \- history of cerebrovascular disease;
  • \- brain injury;
  • \- intracranial surgery;
  • \- Instable angina pectoris (emergency procedure);
  • \- Severe aortic valve stenosis;
  • \- Liver failure
  • \- patient refusal,
