- Primary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method The study has been planned and conducted before CONSORT Statement (Consolidated Standards of Reporting Trials).

The purpose of this trial is to compare measurements of blood flow velocity in the middle cerebral artery (Vmca) by transcranial Doppler sonography (TCD) with measurements of global cerebral blood flow (CBF) by modified Kety-Schmidt-Technique (KST) using argon gas as indicator.

Main outcome measures:
Changes in mean blood flow velocity of the middle cerebral artery (Vmca) and cerebral blood flow (CBF), cerebral blood flow reactivity (CO2-R), cerebral delivery of oxygen (cDO2), cerebral rate of oxygen, glucose and lactate efflux (CMRO2, CMRG, CMRL), cerebrovascular resistance (CVR), cerebral perfusion pressure (CPP), and TCD- derived parameters of flow (FI), resistance (RI) and pulsatility (PI).
- Secondary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method (A) Parameters of the systemic und pulmonal circulation
Blood gas analysis.

(B) Secondary analysis:
cerebraler Zero Flow Pressure (ZFP),
effektiver cerebral perfusion pressure (CPPe),
Resistance area product (RAP).
