1) Generally healthy patients in the age group of 25-55 years of both the genders, diagnosed with Stage III or IV periodontitis based on a new classification scheme for periodontal and peri-implant diseases and conditions- introduction and key changes from 1999 classification.
2)Probing pocket depth more than or equal to 5mm after 3 weeks of scaling and root planing
30 Full moth plaque scoring - plaque index <1.5 and full mouth bleeding score - gingival index <1.5 at the time of enrollment.
1) Use of antibiotics/ steroids during the last 3 months
2) Smoking habit
3) Diabetes mellitus
4) Pregnancy and lactating women
5) History of periodontal surgery/prosthetic restorations at the experimental teeth
6) Previous/current radiation therapy
