Inclusion Criteria
1. Neonates delivered after a gestation period of over 37 weeks
2. Neonates of 1- 28 days of life
3. Neonates who are on oral feeds and last oral feed not less than 30 minutes
4. Neonates in a state of wakefulness
5. Neonates undergoing purposeful heel prick for neonatal screening
6. Neonates’ mothers willing to participate
7. Baseline cutoff pain score = 6
Exclusion Criteria
Preterm neonates
Neonates receiving sedatives
Neonates under mechanical ventilator
