Intranasal dexmedetomidine reduces laryngoscopic pressor response and maintain better perioperative hemodynamics when used as premedication.
1.Intranasal Dexmedetomidine is more effective in comparison with intranasal normal saline on attenuation of laryngoscopic response and maintaining hemodynamic stability during general
anaesthesia.
2.Intranasal Dexmedetomidine has good analgesic effect and better recovery in post operative period

Inclusion Criteria
- Patients belongs to 18 to 60 years of age 2.
- ASA I, ASA II (American Society of Anesthesiologist classification) 3.
- Patients undergoing endotracheal intubation in elective surgery under General anesthesia 4.
- Duration of surgery lasting less than 3 hours.
Exclusion Criteria
- Patients undergoing Emergency surgeries 2.
- Anticipated difficult airway 3.
- Reduced cardiopulmonary reserve 4.
- Patient on beta blockers 5.
- Previous nasal surgery 6.
- Laparoscopic surgery 7.
- Laryngoscopy attempts more than 2 times.

- Primary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method Heart rate, Blood Pressure & Oxygen saturation A baseline heart rate, blood pressure & oxygen saturation will be measured before | administration of the study drug, then at the time of administration and 10 mins once until the time | of scheduled intubation. | â–ª Post intubation vitals are measured at 1,2,3,4,5 & every 10 minutes until end of surgery.
