1. Age group between 20-60years
2. Patients in good systemic health with no contraindication to periodontal surgery
3. Patients having a band of supragingival and/or subgingival calculus on lingual side of mandibular incisors.
4. Patients who had not received any type of periodontal therapy for the past 6 months
5. Patients not taking any immuno-suppressive drugs like corticosteroids
6. Involved teeth to be vital and asymptomatic
7. Patients with absence of any bleeding disorders
1. Patients suffering from any systemic diseases or with compromised immune system.
2. Patients with a known history of drug allergy
3. Patients taking any drug known to cause gingival enlargement.
4. Pregnant and/or lactating mothers.
5. Endodontically treated teeth.
6. Patient on anticoagulant therapy.
