Study Overview

Brief Summary

The present study will be conducted to study clinico-epidemiological profile  and outcomes of patients with acute poisoning presenting in the emergency department. Data regarding age, sex, socio-economic class, , marital status, type of poison and suggested clinical features will be collected . A complete history, physical, local, and clinical examination, GCS, SOFA will be recorded. Patients will be followed till discharge from hospital or till death.

Inclusion Criteria

  • •Patients of either sex belonging to any age group with acute poisoning attending the emergency.

Exclusion Criteria

  • •Patients with idiosyncratic or adverse reaction to prescribed drug Food poisoning Snake /unknown bites Patients or relatives refusing to participate in the study.

Primary Outcomes

To assess the clinico-epidemological profile of patients with acute poisoning presenting to the emergency

Time Frame: At the time of presentation in emergency

Secondary Outcomes

  • Outcome of patients with acute poisoning presenting the emergency(Till discharge from hospital or death)
