The inclusion criteria for study group are patient at Ramathibodi hospital, aged 18-60 years, who sustained a subtrochanteric femoral fracture and underwent proximal femoral nail fixation between 2005 and 2015. Each case had immediate post-operative images and images available for at least 3-5 subsequent follow-up visits. Only visits with anteroposterior and lateral view were included.
An exclusion criteria are pathologic fracture, subtrochanteric fracture underwent plate fixation or non-operative treatment, revision surgery and post-operative infection. The loss follow-up patients, before clinical union or non-union diagnosed, also were excluded.
