Inclusion Criteria

oAge greater than or equal to 18 years
oPermanent atrial fibrillation
oLeft ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) >45%
oClinical indication for AV node ablation
oPermanent pacemaker already implanted or planned to be implanted prior to AV node ablation
oAble to provide written informed consent

Exclusion Criteria

oAge < 18 years
oInability to provide consent
oLVEF <45% or decompensated heart failure
oSevere valvular lesions
oPregnancy
