This study, conducted on 385 participants aged 21 to 30 years from the MAHE institute in the South Indian population, analysed the relationship between body measurements, stature, and sex using SPSS. Measurements such as shoulder height, shoulder breadth, hip breadth, popliteal height, and knee height were used. Data normality was assessed with the Shapiro-Wilk test, and comparisons based on sex were performed using independent t-tests for parametric data and the Mann-Whitney U test for non-parametric data. Bilateral asymmetry between the right and left sides was evaluated using paired t-tests and the Wilcoxon signed-rank test. Stature estimation equations were developed using simple andmultiple linear regression, while logistic regression was applied to predict sex based on body measurements. The findings provide a reliable framework for estimating stature and identifying sex, which can be crucial in mass disasters to help identify individuals.

- •Participants between the ages of 21-30 years ( to avoid the effect of stature reduction due to age) in both males and females.
- •Participants with No Physical Disability
- •Participants are recruited from MAHE institute students and workers of the South Indian Population.
排除标准
- •Participants below 21 and above 30 years old are excluded
- •Participants who had/have fractures in leg/hip bone/shoulder are excluded.
