Inclusion Criteria
American society of anaesthesiology grade 1 and 2
age group 18-65years
patient who will be posted for elective surgery under general anaesthesia with endotracheal intubation
Exclusion Criteria
patient with anticipated difficult intubation
requiring more than 15 seconds for intubation requiring more than one attempt at laryngoscopy
patient on medication such as calcium channel blockers
pregnant woman
