severe fetal malformations, lethal fetal chromosomal abnormalities, and multiple pregnancies abruption of placenta, prolapse of umbilical cord, non reassuring fetal status, massive genital hemorrhage due to placenta previa, uterine rupture, and other feto-maternal emergent status
