Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • 1\. Permanent mandibular molar teeth
  • 2\. Negative response to pulp sensibility test (cold and electric pulp test)
  • 3\. Radiographic evidence of periapical radiolucency on intraoral periapical radiograph (PAI Score\>\=3\)
  • 4\. Teeth exhibiting either healthy periodontium, mild, moderate, severe chronic periodontitis (generalised)

Exclusion Criteria

  • 1\. Patients with systemic diseases which could impairing the healing
  • 2\. Patients with habit of smoking, bruxism
  • 3\. Presence of crack/ subgingival caries/ radiographic evidence of apical root resorption and non\-restorable teeth
  • 4\. Teeth with Combined endo\-perio lesion with communication ( \<2mm of radioopaque bone between periodontal destruction and periapical lesion)
  • 5\. History of recent periodontal therapy (within previous 6 months)
  • 6\. A positive history of antibiotic use within the past month
  • 7\. Teeth with Grade III mobility
