Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •1 Patients above 18 years of age
- •2 Patients with evidence of sepsis admitted into a medical intensive care unit.
Exclusion Criteria
- •1 Age < 18 years.
- •2 Decompensated chronic liver disease
- •3 On treatment with immunosuppressive agents.
- •4 Patients of retro viral illness.
- •5 Patients with neuromuscular diseases, autoimmune disease.
- •6 Presence of left ventricular dysfunction or cardiac bypass surgery
- •7 Chest or abdominal trauma
- •8 Burn injury.
