Inclusion Criteria

ACS patient admitted to OGH

1.Between age group of 18 to 80 years

2.Fulfilling the criteria of ACS

3.With or without complications of ACS like cardiogenic shock, pulmonary edema, acute severe mitral regurgitation or acquired ventricular septal defect.

Exclusion Criteria

1.All types of anemic patients known to have high RDW

2.History of recent or accompanying cerebrovascular accident

3.Concomitant diseases like significant renal insufficiency, liver disorders and / or patients with malignancy in whom expected survival is < 6 months.
