Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •Patients who underwent total or completion thyroidectomy
Exclusion Criteria
- •1\. Patients who have parathyroid diseases of hypoparathyroidism preoperatively
- •2\. Abnormal serum calcium (normal range 8\.5\-10\.2 mg/dl)
- •3\. Abnormal serum phosphate (normal range 2\.5\-4\.5 mg/dl)
- •4\. Abnormal serum magnesium (normal range 1\.32\-2\.14 mEq/L)
- •5\. Abnormal creatinine clearance \>60 ml/min
- •6\. Abnormal liver function (Total bilirubin \>1\.5 mg/dl, AST \>40 U/L, ALT \>41 U/L, alkaline phosphatase \>129 U/L)
- •7\. Patients with underlying heart diseases
- •8\. Patients who currently breast feeding or pregnancy
- •9\. Patients who have calcium or vitamin D as current medications
