Patient aged 18 to 60 yrs, either sex
Patients scheduled for planned surgeries
Consent
ASA III, IV and V
Age <18 and >60 yrs
Parents refusing to give consent
Patinets having pre-existing cardiac,neurological and respiratory
diseases
Local infection/inflammation at Intracath site
Emergency Surgeries
Known hypersensitivity to either of the study drug (Lignocaine or
Dexamethasone)
Patients having communication problems
Psychiatric illness
CNS or neuromuscular disorders
Patient taking pain killers chronically or sedatrives preoperatively
H/O drug abuse or alcoholic
Patients requires repid sequence induction
Allergic to drugs
Patients having difficult IV access and small caliber veins
Pregnant and lactating females
