Inclusion Criteria

Adult patients (age >18 years) of either sex, belonging to ASA class I -III, undergoing elective unilateral thoracotomies for lung resection surgeries within the study period in the Department of Onco-Anaesthesia and Palliative Medicine at the B R Ambedkar Institute Rotary Cancer Hospital (BRAIRCH), All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi

Exclusion Criteria

Patients with unoptimized mechanical or parenchymal lung diseases including pulmonary hypertension (pre-operative FEV1 < 50% of predicted value)

Patients with active infections – systemic or local

Patients with hemoglobin < 10g% or Serum albumin < 3 g/dL, pre-operatively

Patients who are allergic to any of the study drugs
