Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •1\. Patient who give informed consent
- •2\. Adult patient of both genders
- •3\. Age \>18 And \< 60 years
- •4\.American society of anaesthesiologists physical status 1 and 2
- •5\.patients Scheduled for elective laparoscopic surgery \<2 hours and requiring general anaesthesia with direct laryngoscopy and endotracheal intubation.
Exclusion Criteria
- •1\. Refusal by the patient to be part of the study.
- •2\. American society of anaesthesiologists physical status 3 and 4
- •3\. known or suspected allergy to alpha 2 adrenergic agonist or NSAIDS
- •4\. Use of MAO inhibitors or Adrenergic Blocking Drugs.
- •5\. Second or third degree heart block
- •6\. Impaired Cognition
- •7\. Chronic Use of Anti Psychotic Medications.
- •8\. Renal Failure
- •9\. Liver Disease
- •10\. BMI \> 30 kg/m2
