Inclusion Criteria

1.American society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) â? , â?¡ and III of either sex

2.Patients undergoing forearm and hand surgeries

3.Aged between 18 to 80 years

4.Valid informed/explained consent

Exclusion Criteria

Patient refusal, Pregnancy, Nerve injury or neurological disorders, Bleeding tendency or evidence of coagulopathy, History of allergy to local anesthetic drugs, Skin infection at the site of needle insertion or contraindication to regional anesthesia.

Comparison of efficacy of costoclavicular brachial plexus block versus supraclavicular brachial plexus block for forearm and hand surgeries for providing surgical anesthesia and post operative analgesia by evaluating: <br/ ><br>(a)The time of onset and duration of analgesia in both groups <br/ ><br>(b)The level of sensory and motor blockade. <br/ ><br>(c)Nerve sparing effect <br/ ><br> <br/ ><br>Timepoint: intraoperative and postoperative upto 24 hours
