Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • Elderly patient with closed femur fracture requiring elective surgery fulfilling following criteria:-
  • 1.Patients willing for study.
  • 2.Age more than 60 years.
  • 3.ASA I II III (except uncontrolled Diabetics mellitus (DM) and Thyroid disorder).
  • 4.No spinal vertebra deformity.
  • 5.No Ear discharge or any infection.

Exclusion Criteria

  • 1.Patient refusal .
  • 2.Age less than 60 years.
  • 3.ASA >= IV.
  • 4.Any contraindication to central neuraxial anaesthesia.
  • 5.Any metabolic disorder affecting thermoregulation.
  • 6.Uncontrolled diabetes and thyroid disorder.
  • 7.Any recent ear infections or wax in ear.
  • 8.Surgery duration less than 90 minutes and more than 240 minutes.
