�All patients planned for elective major gastrointestinal surgery.
Exclusion Criteria
�Patients who refuse consent.
�ASA 4 and ASA 5.
�Time sensitive surgeries.
�Emergency surgeries
�Age <18 years
�Conditions interfering with the ability to perform exercises such as paraplegia or orthopedic or neurologic impairments
