- Brief Summary
**DESIGNING AND TESTING MOBILE APPLICATION TO MEASURE PULMONARY FUNCTION TEST- AN EXPLORATORY STUDY**
**Background**: In this fast growing world, technology in health science is being emerging. Everything is being operated through mobile phones and it has made things easy and portable. The global mobile health (mHealth) application (app) market has been growing at a tremendous rate, and it is expected to continue to flourish. So it becomes of utmost importance that there should be some objective to develop pulmonary functions in such mobile application to use it in community.
**Aim :** The aim of the study is to design and test PFT mobile application
**Methodology:** After the approval of DRC, the procedure will begin. Ethical committee clearance will be done. The registration of the study will be done in CTRI. After all approval, the study will be conducted in phases, phase 1- the factors affecting pulmonary function test will be identified and then consensus for the factors will be taken by subject specialized persons. Phase2- The formula will be developed based on the factors. After the development of formula, this formula will be use for the application development. Phase 3- The validation of the model will be done by matching the accuracy of the software of the pulmonary function and application of the mobile by taking samples belonging to the category and then comparing the result by statistical analysis. Reliability of the model will be checked after that.
**Outcome measure****-** Pulmonary Function Test
**Statistical analysis:** Appropriate statistical analysis will be done using linear regression in first phase and sensitivity and specificity test in the second phase
