AIM: To elucidate the potential relationship between Neutrophil Lymphocyte Ratio (NLR) and HBA1c in adult patients with T2DM and to identify factors that influence the correlation between HbA1c and Neutrophil to Lymphocyte.

Objectives

1.     To determine the relationship between glycemic control as measured by HbA1c and Neutrophil to Lymphocyte ratio in adult patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM)

2.     To estimate the strength of association using Pearson correlation coefficient between glycemic control as measured by HbA1c and Neutrophil to Lymphocyte ratio in adult patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM)

3.     To identify factors that are significantly associated with HbA1c and Neutrophil to  Lymphocyte ratio in the study patients.

Reports will be obtained from medical records.

Patients are recruited from OPD/IP of those attending the Dept of General Medicine

Proforma will be provided for gathering data.

Statistical analysis will be done using Pearson’s coefficient of correlation as well as covariate measurements will be done for analysis.

  • Patients with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus attending the General Medicine department.

排除标准

  • Any history of or on current treatment for -Malignancy Patients on steroids Thyroiditis Chronic Kidney Disease Gestational Diabetics Acute infections in past 2 weeks.

主要结局

Strength of association between HbA1C and NLR will be estimated by calculating the Pearson correlation coefficient.

时间窗: at baseline

次要结局

  • Covariates that are significantly associated will be identified & Odds Ratios estimated.(At baseline)
