•Age 2-8 years
•Either gender
•ASA I and II
•Children scheduled for undergoing cataract surgeries under general anaesthesia with CLMA
•Airway anomalies.
•Anticipated difficult airway
•Bronchial asthma
•Known cardiac arrhythmia or congenital heart disease.
•Mentally disabled, known case of autism, or developmental pervasive disorder.
•Psychotropic medication use
•Active upper respiratory tract infection
•Patients receiving concurrent treatment with medication known to affect anesthetic requirements.
• Weight of the patient exceeded 150% of the ideal weight.
•The children who will need premedication after randomization will also be excluded.
