简要总结

The pervasive use of smartphones among young adults has raised concerns about its impact on physical and mental well-being. This qualitative study explores the experiences of physical and mental fatigue among problematic and non-problematic smartphone users aged 18 to 25 years through semi-structured interviews. Participants will be screened according to inclusion and exclusion criteria. Procedure will be explained and written consent will be taken from the participants. Participants will be categorised into 2 groups namely problematic smartphone users and non-problematic smartphone users. Then the participants will be screened according to the self prepared screening tool used in the exclusion criteria. After which both the groups will be asked a featured set of questions to determine their opinions and perspective about smartphone use. Then the themes will be generated and discussed in detail.

入选标准

  • Age 18 to 25 years Gender Both male and female equal in number.
  • Individuals who read, write and understand English language.
  • Problematic Smartphone Users with SAS SV score more than 33 for females and more than 31 for males Non problematic smartphone users with SAS SV score ranging from 10 to 30 for men and 10 to 32 for females.

  • Individuals who are Having a poor diet Having addictions like smoking, tobacco use History of substance abuse like opiods diagnosed with sleep disorders like insomnia, sleep apnea Lack of physical activity Diagnosed with chronic infections like influenza, hepatits, tuberculosis Currently on prescription medications like benzodiazepines, anticonvulsants Currently experiencing symptoms of premenstrual syndrome Diagnosed with autoimmune disorders like multiple sclerosis, rheumatoid arthritis, Type 1 diabetes mellitus, chronic kidney disease Diagnosed with mental health disorders Diagnosed with dietary deficiencies Diagnosed with eating disorders Diagnosed with chronic pain anywhere in the body.
