Inclusion Criteria
- Adult (>=18 yr of age)
- (a)symptomatic carotid artery stenosis due to atherosclerotic disease
- Treated by carotid endarterectomy
- mentally capable to make discissions
Exclusion Criteria
- ADL-dependent due to prior TIA or cerebrovascular accident (not able to measure the blood pressure twice a day)
- ADL-dependent because of other reasons besides above mentioned reason.
- Patients with carotid artery stenosis caused by other causes then atherosclerotic disease
- not mentally capable

- Primary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method <p>The primary objective of this study is the feasibility, to assess the<br /><br>patient*s experience regarding performing home blood pressure measurements<br /><br>themselves and the use of cVitals in the first month after carotid<br /><br>endarterectomy. Patients experience will be assessed by means of a telephone<br /><br>survey based on a predefined questionnaire.</p><br>
