1. Unilateral leg pain worse than, or as bad as, Back pain (if present) with radicular characteristics, i.e. Pain described as sharp, burning, with numbness and/or tingling with or without positive SLR test
2. Age group between 20-60 years
3. Ability to understand the study measures
4. Mentally Capable of giving consent to participate in the study.
•alternative treatment regarding back pain and/or sciatica (e.g. surgery, nerve blocks, analgesic medication);
•spinal or soft tissue problems potentially associated with back pain or sciatica (e.g. pregnancy, spinal tumor, rheumatoid arthritis);
•serious co-morbidity (e.g metastases, AIDS)
•history of spinal operation, vertebral fracture or dislocation within a year
•Severe neurological deficit or red flag symptoms (e.g. cauda equina syndrome).
•Psychopathology
•History of narcotic abuse at any time in the past and/or drug or alcohol abuse in the past year.
•History of spinal unstability (based on an MRI finding of grade II spondylolisthesis or greater).
•Presence of other medical condition presenting with numbness and pain in lower extremities, such as diabetic polyneuropathy and peripheral vascular disease.
