Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •1\) Patients who were diagnosed with Parkinson's disease based on the UK Parkinson's Disease Society Brain Bank Diagnostic Criteria
- •2\) Patients who were aged between 50 and 80
- •3\) Patients with Hoehn and Yahr stage 1 or 2
- •4\) Patients with the disease duration of less than 5 years
- •5\) Patients who had a score \= 1 in the MDS\-UPDRS part 1
- •6\) Patients who did less than the recommended aerobic exercise proposed by the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) (ex. vigorous exercise done \<3 times per week, 20 min per session; or moderate exercise done \<5 times per week, 30 min per session)
- •7\) Patients who were on stable dopaminergic pharmacotherapy over more than 3 months
Exclusion Criteria
- •1\) Patients with neurological, orthopedic, or cardiac comorbidities that make them unfit to do exercise
- •2\) Patients who were unable to complete questionnaires due to cognitive impairment
- •3\) Patients on antipsychotics
- •4\) Patients who have symptoms or signs suggesting atypical or secondary parkinsonism (ex. cerebellar signs, supranuclear gaze palsy, apraxia, prominent autonomic failure, or other cortical signs; multiple strokes with stepwise progression of symptoms)
- •5\) Patients who were unavailable for more than 10% of the study period
